Is sorry that she can't honor the invitation since her huasband has come down with a bad cold; goes on to tell her the reaction she got for her two latest poems "Sunshine" and "Tired Mother"; thanks the Markhams for believing in her as a poet but notes that she is long not as famous as Ella Wheeler Wilcox whi is her best friend.
